Facade Designer – boston, MA
We are seeking applicants to join Island’s Boston design and engineering teams. Applicants should have 1-5 years of experience in the architecture or construction fields. Island is looking for candidates with a strong work ethic who are creative, self-motivated, highly organized, personable, and can communicate clearly.
Façade design and documentation shop drawing, and fabrication drawing for high-profile buildings in the New York and Boston Areas.
Education and Experience:
A Baccalaureate Degree with a focus in architecture, engineering, or related fields.
Experience in the following areas is beneficial, but not required: façade design, technical drawing production, digital modeling, building coordination using BIM, and construction documentation.
1-5 years in office environments (preferred).
Proficiency in 3D and 2D CAD modeling (Revit, AutoCAD, Rhino, and Inventor experience is preferred).
Strong technical aptitude and knowledge.
Legal authorization to work in the U.S.
Ability to work harmoniously in a collaborative team oriented environment.
Current residency in either the Boston area. Relocation is an option for the right candidate.
