Facade Designer - Calverton

We are seeking applicants to join Island’s Calverton, NY design and engineering teams. Applicants should have 1-5 years of experience in the architecture or construction fields. Island is looking for candidates with a strong work ethic who are creative, self-motivated, highly organized, personable, and can communicate clearly.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Façade design and documentation shop drawing, and fabrication drawing for high-profile buildings in the New York and Boston Areas.

Education and Experience:

  • A Baccalaureate Degree with a focus in architecture, engineering, or related fields.

  • Experience in the following areas is beneficial, but not required: façade design, technical drawing production, digital modeling, building coordination using BIM, and construction documentation.

  • 1-5 years in office environments (preferred).

Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in 3D and 2D CAD modeling (Revit, AutoCAD, Rhino, and Inventor experience is preferred).

  • Strong technical aptitude and knowledge.

  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S.

  • Ability to work harmoniously in a collaborative team oriented environment.

  • Current residency in either the Boston area. Relocation is an option for the right candidate.
