Hanging is starting this month for the Pace Gallery in Chelsea, New York. Designed by Bonetti/Kozerski Studio, this new gallery will host over 250 of Island's prefab panels. These panels appear to be made of textured concrete from a distance but are actually composed of a metal architectural small-celled foam that resembles volcanic stone - a unique material for Island but a fitting choice for Pace.
This building is nearly 60,000 square feet, 8 stories high, and houses column free gallery space. It's been a long anticipated project and one that Island is proud to be part of. Below you can view the time-lapse of our Performance Mockup being assembled at our facilities in Calverton, NY.
